Chrome Roll Stack

When installing a new or used chrome roll station always make sure your rollers are full of heating /cooling fluid this will ensure that the heat transfer is even all the way across the sheet and will help the lam to adhere to the foam, also be sure you use the right fluid some require oil instead of glycol. Never use chilled water to supply the stack due to chiller water is about 45 degrees so it makes no sense to use chilled water then have to heat it up again. Never power up heat exchanger without first filling up chrome rolls or damage will occur.

  1. Hey Jubal,i need to correct you on one item in Chrome Roll Article.Poor word choice in the beginning section where you say "When installing a new or used chrome roll stack...". When installing the stack you better have it empty dont you think. This is an issue to be considered prior to startup.

  2. Tommy, yes the chrome roll stack should be empty,I was assuming the station was already in place at time of start up. However; when filling rollers power must be appiled to engage water pump, and normally its wired in with the heater/heatexchanger therefore you must fill rollers with outside source before powering up.thank you for the comment!!
